Quote approval workflows for materials suppliers

A quote approval workflow is the ordered set of stages a quote moves through - draft, review, sent, accepted - with an owner and rules for each stage, so a team prices and sends quotes the same way every time.

Which workflows come ready to use?

Four templates cover the common cases. A company can duplicate one and change its stages, or build its own workflow from scratch; each company keeps its own set.

What does a stage rule do?

A stage names the roles that own it and the conditions it expects, such as an approval or agreed payment terms. When a quote moves on without meeting them, Quote360 shows a warning that lists what is missing. It does not block the move - the team stays in charge.

Who can change a quote?

Access comes from roles inside your company workspace. A new company starts with admin, manager, editor and viewer roles, and quote permissions are granted per role: create, read, update, delete and share.

Is every stage change recorded?

Yes. Each move between stages is written to the quote's stage history, with who moved it and when.

Questions and answers

Can a stage stop a quote until a manager approves it?
Not today. Stage rules warn when they are not met; they do not block the move.
Does Quote360 notify people when a quote changes stage?
Not yet. The stage history shows every change; notifications are planned.
